the triple room was cheap with 2 single beds, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. extra touches like a safe box, central heating, and a work desk were a treat, staff were skilled. the location was excellent and comfortable, right by city center, the shopping centres and the centre.

Position, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
Room needed airing and was a little old fashioned. Shower room needed modernising.

Location
The personnel was not very hospitable. All hot dishes in breakfast were cold although we were among the first eaters there. I called repeatedly to reception but no-one answered.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, and a cool building which has some ex-KGB elements
There was no wifi - but the bar / restaurant next door had this so it was not big deal

The hotel is centrally located, within a 10-minute walk of the bus staiton. The rooms are old, and somewhat dark, but perfectly adequate. We appreciated the heat on the cold morning! Breakfast was simple but healthy and quite satisfactory. The horel is situated very near the center where there is an abundance of restaurants and cultural/historical sites. Tartu is a great town for walking, especially on a sunny autumn day.
The map on the Bookings site is not so clear, and it took a while to find someone near the bus station after arrival to point us in the right direction. Once pointed, it was an easy and pleasant walk to the hotel.

The Barclay has an excellent central location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was modern and clean with a hot towel bar.
The restaurant is only open for breakfast and the bar/lounge is not open at all. This is not a problem as there are many excellent restaurants and lounges within walking distance. The hotel needs to invest in new equipment to keep the buffett breakfast food and beverages hot.
